We’re often asked how to track whether a customer is in good credit standing or how to manage in-house credit limits.

In Seed System Solution, we’ve made this simple with two dedicated data tables that are available under the Customer → Misc tab to help you manage credit information efficiently.

The Credit Status Field

We’ve included several preprogrammed options for the Credit Status field, with the flexibility to add more upon request:

  • Good
  • COD
  • Hold

Once this field is filled in, the credit status will display on the Customer Page and the Pick Ticket Detail Page. Depending on your setup, it can also appear on your Pick Tickets, Delivery Tickets, Booking Confirmations, or Invoices—and this visibility can be fully customized. You can even adjust the terminology displayed based on the credit status.

COMING SOON: A new feature that will prevent users from creating pick tickets for customers with a Credit Status of HOLD.

The Credit Table

Use the Credit Table to easily manage customer credit details:

  • Enter the Provider Name – For in-house credit, you can use “In-House” or your company name.
  • Set a Credit Limit – Define the maximum amount of credit available to each customer.

These credit limits can be viewed on the Customer Booking and Payment Report, allowing your team to quickly assess where a customer stands relative to their available credit.

Credit limits can be set up directly from the Customer Preferences Report, found under Menu → Reports → Lists → Customer Preferences.

Collections

If a customer has been sent to collections, you can conveniently track all related notices within this table.

Tax Exempt

You can store tax exempt certificates within this table. Record key details such as the state, effective date, expiration date, and certificate ID, and even upload a copy of the certificate for quick reference.
