Setting Up Custom Attributes
Custom Attributes is a feature in Customers and Bookings that allows you to build your own data tracking fields. Currently, these attributes can be filtered for some reports, but the custom attributes can be added as filters to additional reports related to Customers or Bookings.
Creating a New Attribute
To start, go to the preferred Customer or Booking and click on the Custom Attribute Tab. A new card window will display. Select the + sign in the top right hand corner.
Name Field
On the blank data line, a drop-down will appear in the Name Field. You can either:
- Select an existing Attribute data field from the drop-down list.
Or
- Create a New Attribute data field by clicking into the data field a second time. The drop-down will disappear and allow you to type.
Value Field
On the blank data line, a drop-down will appear in the Value Field. You can either:
- Select an existing Attribute Value data field from the drop-down list.
Or
- Create a New Attribute Value data field by clicking into the data field a second time. The drop-down will disappear and allow you to type.
Editing an Attribute
Go to the Customer or Booking and click on the Custom Attribute Tab. A new card window will display. Select a new option from the drop-down lists or use the steps above to create a new option
To remove a custom attribute, go to the Customer or Booking and click on the Custom Attribute Tab. A new card window will display. Select the trash can next to the attribute.
To close the window, use the logo.
